Nursing students, auto tech studentsAs the new year begins, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) is making final preparations for the start of Spring classes on January 16. EICC includes Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges where registration is well underway.

Students can call the college to make an appointment to register any time during normal business hours. To help students with busy weekday schedules, all three colleges have set a special Saturday registration session from 9 a.m. – Noon on January 6.

The college’s main campuses are located at:

Students are encouraged to begin the registration process as soon as possible to provide them a better chance to not only get the classes they want, but to get them at the times they want them.

EICC’s college transfer program allows students to complete their first two years of a four-year degree close to home. The state universities and area private colleges work closely with EICC to ensure students completing their Associate in Arts degree here will be able to easily transfer their credits.

In addition, joint admissions agreements with the state universities mean that students are simultaneously admitted both here and the university to which they intend to transfer.

The college also offers a number of career technology programs designed to allow students to enter directly into the job market. The programs range from a semester in length to a full Associate in Applied Science Degree.

EICC’s tuition is one of the most competitive in the state and financial aid is available.

For students who have trouble juggling work and family schedules with attending classes, the college offers an extensive online program. Thanks to a unique statewide partnership with other community colleges, students can earn their Associates in Arts degree entirely online.

The college will be closed for the holiday break, December 23 – January 1. For more information about starting classes give the college a call at 1-888-336-3907 or visit online at eicc.edu/spring
