November Cooking Classes
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is cooking up some great classes in its kitchens at the college’s West Davenport Center, 2950 N. Fairmount St. Classes are hands-on and, unless otherwise noted, held from 6 - 9 p.m. and cost $29 each.
Cheesecakes from scratch are possible for anyone, once you know the tricks. Hands-on training in blending ingredients and how to decorate, garnish and top them so they look fabulous. Class will be held November 13, course number 189849.
Bagels & Cream Cheese is all about baking your own bagels and making homemade cream cheese for weekend breakfasts. Class will be held November 16, course number 189842.
Best Ever Gluten Free Crusts includes pizza crust, bread and rolls, and pie crust. Class will be held November 20, course number 189843.
Twelve Days of Cookies kicks off the holiday season with two batches of dough and 12 different variations. Class will be held November 28, course number 189853.
Gifts from Your Kitchen demonstrates there’s nothing better than a gift from the heart. These gifts are wrapped with labels and include cookies in a jar, ice cream toppings, candy bark and more. Class will be held November 30, course number 189818.
Mason Jar Breads & Pies are perfect holiday gift jars, assembled and ready to go including the recipe tags on how to make them. Class will be held December 4, course number 189811.
Eggs! Eggs! Beautiful Eggs! is all about, you guessed it, eggs, including a cheese soufflé, puffy omelet quiche, Dutch pancake and custard. Class will be held December 7, course number 189817.
