EICC to be open August 12 for class registration
With a new academic year about to begin, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) is making the final preparations for the August 21 start of Fall classes.
EICC includes Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges where registration is well underway. Students can call the college to make an appointment to register any time during the week and to help students with busy weekday schedules, all three colleges have set a special Saturday, August 12, registration session from 9 a.m. – Noon.
Students are encouraged to begin the registration process as soon as possible to provide them a better chance to not only get the classes they want, but to get them at the times they want them.
Staff will be on hand to answer any questions about college programs. All the services students need to register will be open and available including advising, financial aid and orientation.
The state universities and private colleges work with EICC on formal transfer agreements guaranteeing students completing their Associate in Arts degree here will be able to easily transfer their credits. In addition, joint admissions agreements with the state universities mean students are simultaneously admitted both here and the university to which they intend to transfer.
The college also offers 32 career technology programs designed to allow students to enter directly into the job market. The programs range
from a semester in length to a full Associate in Applied Science Degree.
Financial aid is still available for the upcoming academic year and EICC’s tuition continues to be among the most competitive in the state.
For students who have trouble juggling work and family schedules with attending classes, the college offers an extensive online program. Thanks to a unique statewide partnership with other community colleges, students can earn their Associates in Arts degree entirely online.
And for adult students, the college recently introduced a new Degree Plan for Working Adults specifically designed to fit around busy work and family schedules.
The college’s main campuses are located at:
- Clinton Community College
1000 Lincoln Boulevard, Clinton
- Muscatine Community College
152 Colorado Street, Muscatine
- Scott Community College
