This hybrid model is built on an eight-week schedule requiring students to meet face-to-face just one day per week with the remainder of the work completed online. The new option will give students much more flexibility in their busy schedules to complete the Nurse Aide program.

Face-to-face classes will be held at the Scott Community College Urban Campus, 101 W. Third St., Davenport. The first session will be offered January 22 - March 14. Scott Community College's Urban Campus has also just announced two new scholarships available to students taking classes at the Urban Campus. The coursework is the same as the traditional 75-hour Certified Nurse Aide program. It is the core program for individuals beginning direct patient care and for later advancement to Medication and/or Rehabilitation Aide. Nurse aides serve an important role caring for others, utilizing skills related to comfort, safety, hygiene, mental health and social needs.

Tuition is $637 which includes the textbook and background check. (The Criminal Background and Abuse Registry checks are mandatory requirements.)
