Forklift Training November 11
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is offering Forklift Training courses for both new operators and supervisors on November 11.
This is a great opportunity for local companies to train their employees, or for individuals to gain a new skill set employers want. Both courses meet OHSA training requirements.
Classes will be held at Muscatine Community College's Maintenance Building, 152 Colorado St. Muscatine.
- Forklift Operator's Training (4hr)
8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Meet the training requirements for OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.178 with this hands-on course. Training topics include mechanics, inspection and maintenance of forklifts; ANSI driving procedures; lift operation; and special operating rules. This course is the same as Forklift Safety, but also includes driving module that allows you to operate a forklift.

- Forklift Safety Supervisor
1 - 2 p.m.
In this one-hour class designed for supervisors, you learn the training requirements pertaining to various types of powered industrial trucks, requirements relating to an employee incident or accident, and how to conduct driving skill audits. You must have already taken Forklift Safety to enroll in this class.
