Graduation Day

May 13, 2021

Activities on Campus:

3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

    • D-lectable D-lites Food Truck on site - Pre-packaged food available for purchase

    • Photo Opportunities
      Amanda Smith with Artsmith Photography,, will be photographing graduates throughout the Event.  Photos will be available at the following link within 2 weeks of the event:  Everyone will be able to order prints and/or download the images to share.  
      If you do not want any of your photos to be used by Artsmith Photography for promotional reasons, you will need to sign an ‘Opt Out’ wavier.  These will be available at the Event. 

    • Explore the Campus - (meet faculty along the way)

    • Cap Decorating

    • Sidewalk Chalk

    • Grab n Go Treat

    • Create Flying Lantern

    • Barnes and Noble Bookstore sale

    • Virtual Ceremony Viewing 6 p.m.

    • Lantern Release
      Graduates will gather outside following the Ceremony to display their flying lanterns, creating a magnificent array of light, symbolizing their accomplishments and their bright future. All graduates and their family are invited to attend.



Your diploma and cover
will be sent to you once final evaluations are completed and degrees are awarded.  Simply place the diploma in your black cover.  An updated copy of your transcript with degree(s) noted will also be sent to you at that time.  They should be distributed approx. one month after your graduation date.

Honor Graduates

Students graduating with honors (3.5 cumulative GPA or higher at the end of the 2020 Fall term), will be receiving a letter of notification.  Honor graduates’ honor cords will be mailed to them.  Honor graduates will be recognized during the Ceremony.   


Members will be receiving information from their PTK advisors regarding stole, etc. purchases.  If you have questions, please contact Rob Schadt at or 563-244-7012. 

Recognition Cords

Service Member graduates will receive their Military cords via mail.  Please let us know by April 9 if you are a Service Member so we can notate that in the program. 

Before Degree Is Awarded

You must have:

  • Successfully completed the courses listed on the letter you were sent from the Registrar’s Office after you applied for graduation.

  • Met all financial obligations to the College:
    • Tuition and Fees
    • Library
    • Outstanding Debt/Balance

  • Communicated your correct address to the Registrar’s Office to ensure a prompt delivery of your diploma.
