Register for summer classes – get ahead, stay current or catch up
College students home for the summer, high school graduates preparing to begin college in the fall, or new and current students looking to get ahead can take advantage of Eastern Iowa Community Colleges’ (EICC) summer classes. Our summer sessions, offered online and in-person, are a great way for you to finish your degree quicker and get in the field faster, or catch up and stay on track for graduation. Online summer sessions start May 24, June 7 and July 5. On-campus summer sessions begin June 1 and June 28.
The college’s online classes make it especially easy to fit them around your personal schedule. Offered both Online Anytime and Live Online, you have the choice to attend class when it’s convenient for you or during a scheduled time where you can interact face-to-face with your instructor and classmates over Zoom. We have years of experience in delivering online classes with more than 1,000 students enrolling in them every year through Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges.
Many of the colleges’ summer students each year are already enrolled at other colleges, including Iowa’s three state universities and many private colleges, and are picking up a class or two they will transfer back to their parent institution. They know summer classes give them a chance to make their study load a little lighter next year or make up for something they missed this past year. Find out more about becoming a guest student!
New students, including recent high school grads, planning to start their college journey this fall also find it helpful to take a summer class. Having one or two less classes to take when they start in the fall can make the transition to college go that much more smoothly.
As always, EICC has one of the most competitive tuitions in the state of Iowa. Our tuition is far less than that charged by private, out-of-state, colleges and is an affordable way to pick up an extra class or two.
