Information Tech: Free Community College Month Classes
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges’ Information Technology faculty are joining in the spirit of Community College Month by offering five free classes, one each week during April.
All five classes are just one hour in length and offered entirely online, so you can take them from anywhere you have internet access. All classes will be held from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and include:
- April 1 Identity Crisis: Identity, Authentication, and Authorization (Cybersecurity)
- April 8 Get Connected (Computer Networking)
- April 15 Java: Not Your Mama’s Coffee (Computer Programming)
- April 22 Create a Fahrenheit to Celsius Conversion Website (Web Development)
- April 29 Explore Augmented and Virtual Reality (Augmented/Virtual Reality)
The sessions are open to everyone, even if you have no prior experience. They are designed to give participants a little taste of what is included in a variety of different computer-related subjects, from Cybersecurity to Virtual Reality.
If you’ve ever been curious about what a subject in any one of these five areas might look like, here’s your chance, free of charge.
