Opened just five years ago, the center has become a thriving educational facility serving not only the people on the western half of Davenport, but residents throughout the area.

Visitors to the open house can learn about the West Davenport Center’s many different services including:

The day’s activities are part of the center’s Pre-Graduation Celebration during which this year’s high school equivalency graduates will have the opportunity to pick up their caps and gowns, enjoy some cake and do a little advance celebrating with their families. There will also be a large number of community organizations with representatives and displays of the services they have available.

College representatives will be on hand to discuss the opportunities available at both the West Davenport Center and the college’s main campus including tutoring, college classes, support for veterans and current military, and more. Visitors can take tours of the center and refreshments will be served.

The building includes four general classrooms, three general/public use classrooms, a nurse aide lab, computer labs, tutoring areas, office space as well as the fully-equipped cooking lab.
