Apply for Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community College's Foundation Scholarships
It’s deadline time for applying for scholarships at Eastern Iowa Community Colleges. Students planning on enrolling for fall classes at any one of our Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community Colleges have until March 1 to apply.
Everyone, regardless of academic level or economic status is encouraged to apply. While some scholarships are awarded for those things, many are based on a variety of other factors like where a person lives, the program they are entering and even some are reserved for adults returning to college.
That’s especially true this year with the new Iowa Last Dollar program that pays all of a student’s tuition in 30 different career programs. Students are required to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Financial Aid) that determines how much federal and state aid a student might qualify. The Last Dollar program then pays the difference between that and the full tuition cost, even if the student receives nothing in aid to start with.
The FAFSA is needed in applying for scholarships as well so completing it is a great place to start in applying. In addition to the FAFSA, students must complete the scholarship application for the college they plan to attend. Additional information about scholarships and other financial aid opportunities is available on our website.
