Learn about China with free classes

As the city of Clinton welcomes Chinese students to the community’s new Pangaea International Academy, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges and its Clinton Community College are working to provide classes for those who wish to learn more about the country of China.

Delivered through the college’s Continuing Education Department, these classes are all just one or two days in length and free of charge.

East and West Shared Experiences – Part II is a continuation of East and West Shared Experiences Part I, including more information on physical geography, economy, language and food. This class offers students the opportunity to gain insight into the commonality of human experience in China and the US, and to become motivated to collaborate for mutual benefit. Please know that Part I is NOT required to come to Part II.

The class will be offered at three separate times:

  • October 24, 12:30 – 2:00 p.m., CCC Room 139, 1000 Lincoln Blvd., Clinton.
  • October 24, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., CCC Room 139, 1000 Lincoln Blvd., Clinton. – Attending this session will be several Chinese students and staff members from Pangaea International Academy.
  • October 25, 10 – 11:30 a.m., CCC Technology Center, 1951 Manufacturing Dr., Clinton
