CCC 2020 Graduation Available on YouTube
Clinton Community College Graduation looked different this year for the graduates due to the coronavirus pandemic and the need for social distancing. CCC students celebrated online with staff and faculty along with family and friends.
CCC President Brian Kelly shared a welcome and message for the graduates stating, “In challenging times, our students persisted and showed a resilience that will serve them well as they enter the workforce or continue their education. We are very proud of their accomplishments.” In addition Eastern Iowa Community College Chancellor Dr. Don Doucette made congratulatory remarks. Graduation speakers included Matthew Outzen, Eric Sipes, Luana Rozante, and Sonya Taylor. Video wishes were included as well as the names of all graduates.
Of the 208 students who applied for graduation, 9 achieved High Honors with a 4.0 GPA and 57 earned Honors of 3.5 – 3.9 GPA. Students earned associate of arts degrees, associate of science degrees, diplomas and certificates. Eighteen students earned the Associate Degree in Nursing and nine earned the Diploma in Practical Nursing.
Twelve area high school seniors are scheduled to earn an AA or AS and 6 are earning both their AA and AS. They are from Bellevue, Camanche, and Maquoketa High Schools. In addition, there are 17 Maquoketa High students set to earn a Production Welding Certificate.
