Thank you for visiting my appointment page! In our appointment, I look forward to getting to know you and learning about your educational goals. I bring a lot of my own experiences to my work as an Academic Advisor, so here is a bit about me before we meet:
I am a Quad Citizen born and raised! J I graduated from UTHS in East Moline, IL and decided to stay in the QC to attend Augustana College. At Augustana, I studied Business with a concentration in Management and Spanish for Professional Use. My dreams in college were to work in Human Resources, but my path changed shortly before walking across the stage at graduation. This wasn’t the first time I thought I had my life figured out though, as I changed my major 3 times before graduating, and then changed career fields all together once I graduated. This year I finished my second degree, a Master’s in Higher Education, and am excited to see what comes next.
I was the first in my family to ever go to college, and that meant every experience was new and difficult to understand. I often felt like an imposter, and the idea of trying to figure out how to pay for my degree, balancing school with life and work, and doing well academically felt impossible. My goal as your Academic Advisor is to help guide and support you through your obstacles in your educational journey and make higher education as easy as possible to understand.
I am so excited to get to meet with you. If you have any questions before your appointment, please reach out.
