LaNette has worked in higher education for over 20 years. She is passionate about helping students reaching their academic goals and graduate from college. She developed this passion when she was a student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Greensboro, NC. She appreciated how the faculty and staff worked tirelessly to help her to succeed so she pours that same energy into her student population.
LaNette moved to Iowa for love and to marry her school aged best friend. Her daughter currently attends SCC pursing her nursing degree. LaNette is a crafty crafter and loves spending her free time making crafts and volunteering in the community.
