General Education Requirements for Fine Arts

Choose from the General Education Requirements according to your goals and interests and the requirements of your intended transfer institution. The recommended General Education courses for this concentration include the following:

Arts and Humanities:

  • ART:101 Art Appreciation, 3 credits
  • PHI:101 Introduction to Philosophy, 3 credits


Cultural/Historical Perspectives: 

  • HIS:117 Western Civilization: Ancient and Medieval, 3 credits OR
  • HIS:118 Western Civilization II: Early Modern, 3 credits OR
  • HIS:119 Western Civilization III: The Modern Period, 3 credits
