Project Management Fundamentals

Have you ever become an accidental project manager? Or tried to wrangle a team from multiple departments in order to complete a task? This course is for you if your primary job is not project management but you may manage projects on an informal basis or as part of your daily duties. Successfully managing a project requires effective planning. By understanding the fundamentals of project management, you will be better prepared to initiate and/or take-on a project in your organization and position it for success.  In this class, you will learn about initiating projects, planning for time and cost, planning for project risk, communication, and change control, executing, managing, and controlling a project, and closing a project. You will walk away with knowledge of industry best practices and have a good foundational overview of the project management profession.
