You can begin planning your entire four-year degree program the moment you begin classes with us. Early contact with your intended transfer school increases your level of comfort with that institution. You get help in completing admission, housing and financial aid information.
You'll also begin receiving information on sports and cultural activities associated with the colleges. You can attend those social activities and feel a part of campus life immediately.
You can declare your four-year plan with the transfer institution and pursue that plan at both schools. That way, you get the maximum benefit from each. Imagine the ease of mind this careful planning brings when you're ready to make the next step in your education.
Students applying to Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community College should complete and submit the EICCD application for admission along with an official high school transcript.
After admission to Clinton, Muscatine or Scott, complete and return the Application for Joint Admission to the EICCD Admission Office. Palmer students should return the application to Palmer College. (You will get the maximum benefit from the Joint Admission Program if you begin your studies here with a transfer institution in mind.)
The Application for Joint Admission may be completed any time prior to earning 30 semester hours (sophomore status). You will be required to meet with the campus Articulation Coordinator.
Completed Joint Admission Applications, along with copies of the high school transcripts, will be forwarded to the transfer school's Office of Admission.
The final decision for acceptance will be made by the intended transfer institution.
The transfer institution will mail you a notice of acceptance into the Joint Admission Program. Program requirements will be outlined, and you will be given instructions on how to maintain your eligibility.
Before your last semester at Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community College, send an Application for Admission to your intended school of transfer. (We strongly recommend that you apply a year ahead of your enrollment date.)
The program requirements for a bachelor's degree at the college you will attend after Clinton, Muscatine or Scott will be those in effect at the time you are accepted into the Joint Admission Program. (For specific guidelines, contact the Admissions Office at the intended college of transfer.)
