Western Illinois University (WIU) is a public university with a residential campus located in Macomb, Illinois, and a nonresidential campus located in Moline (WIU-QC). To the right are links to information you will find helpful as you consider and plan for transferring to WIU or WIU-QCy.

EICCD/WIU Dual Admission
Students may choose to apply for admission to Western Illinois University as soon as they have completed their application to Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community Colleges. Through Dual Admission the student benefits from customized academic advising and degree progress reports at the completion of each semester while they earn their A.A. or A.S. degree. To participate, students complete a Dual Admission Program Addendum. To learn more about dual admission, contact Academic Advising at your community college.

How does the A.A. or A.S. degree from Clinton, Muscatine or Scott Community College transfer to WIU? Both the Associates in Arts (A.A.) and the Associates in Science (A.S.) degree will fulfill WIU General Education Requirements of the degree programs offered at WIU.

Note that the teacher education program at WIU requires completion of specific courses within the WIU General Education Requirements. If you plan to pursue teacher education, contact Academic Advising at your community college for assistance with selecting the specific courses that will fulfill the course requirements of the WIU teacher education program.

Depending on courses selected and completed in the process of earning your A.A. or A.S., the degree may also fulfill other core or elective course requirements of your WIU major. Your community college advisor can assist you with identifying these courses as well.
