This is a summary of the requirements for an Associate in Arts (AA) degree with a Sociology/ Social Work concentration for students who have not decided where they intend to transfer.
 
The AA degree requires completion of both the general education curriculum and electives for a total of 64 semester hours. Students should complete their AA degree by selecting courses that fulfill Sociology/Social Work requirements of transfer colleges, as listed below. Any remaining electives should be selected with caution until the student has decided where to transfer and has met with an advisor.

A wide variety of other courses is required or strongly recommended by different transfer schools. Some of the transfer schools require or strongly recommend specific choices from the EICCD General Education curriculum, as shown in the following table. If general education choices are not specified, the college will accept the EICCD Associate in Arts degree as satisfying their general education requirements. In addition, a variety of other courses (Electives) is required by different transfer schools. Students who know where they intend to transfer should consult the specific advising guide for their intended transfer school for additional details.
