This is a summary of the requirements for an Associate in Arts (AA) degree with a Business Administration/Accounting concentration for students who have not decided where they intend to transfer.

The AA degree requires completion of both the general education curriculum and electives for a total of 64 semester hours. Any remaining electives should be selected with caution until the student has decided where to transfer and has met with an advisor.

Additional Courses Required Or Recommended At Specific Institutions

A wide variety of other courses are required or strongly recommended by different transfer schools. Each of the other courses available in the Business, Accounting, and Management areas is not recommended at one or more of the schools to which EICCD students usually transfer. What that means is that the course will be counted as an Elective only and the student may have to take the same or very similar course again after transfer if it is required for their major. Therefore, it would be advisable that students know where they intend to transfer before taking any of them.

However, some of the transfer schools require or strongly recommend specific choices from the EICCD General Education curriculum, as shown in the following table. If general education choices are not specified, the college will accept the EICCD Associate in Arts degree as satisfying their general education requirements.
