This is a summary of the requirements for an Associate in Arts (AA) degree with an Education concentration for students planning to transfer to Ashford University. The AA degree requires completion of both the general education curriculum and electives for a total of 62 semester hours.
Students should choose the recommended courses from the EICCD General Education curriculum, and complete their AA degree by selecting courses that fulfill requirements of Elementary Education. Any remaining electives should be selected from those that have an exact course equivalent at Ashford University that is required or recommended for their major.

| Sophomore standing (30 or more semester hours) | 2.50 overall college GPA | |
| 2.60 GPA for all education courses | C or better grade in EN:110 | |
| Successful completion of both ED:100 and ED:200 | Positive recommendation from college professor | |
