College closing announcements will be broadcast over the following radio stations: KROS-1340 AM; KCLN-1390 AM/KZEG 94.7 FM; KMAQ-95.1 FM/1320 AM; KMXG-96.1 FM; KUUL-101.3 FM; WOC-1420 AM; WLLR-1230 AM OR 103.7 FM; WKBF-1270 AM; WHTS-98.9 FM; KCQQ-106.5 FM; KJOC; WXLP; KBOB; KORB; 1170 AM; 97X FM; 99.7 FM; 93.5 FM; WCCI-100.3 FM; WSDR-1240 AM; and WVIK-90.3 FM, as well as the following television stations: KWQC-TV CHANNEL 6; WHBF TV 4; and WQAD TV CHANNEL 8.

2. Closing announcements will ordinarily be made by 6 a.m. for day classes and 3 p.m. for evening classes. If the college closes for day classes DO NOT assume it will be closed in the evening. Since evening classes meet primarily only once a week, campus seldom closes when weather is marginal. However, instructors are encouraged to be considerate of students who reside in rural and remote areas where road conditions may prohibit safe travel.

3. When a DELAYED START is announced, classes will resume on the normal schedule at the start-up time. Missed classes will not be rescheduled.

There is a school closing telephone number that students and staff can call to hear the most current information about campus closings and class cancellations and delays. It is 563-244-7125.
