President's Day Visit Day

Mount RushmoreIt’s that time of year when high school seniors traditionally begin to finalize plans for the next step in their lives after graduation. What most of them are learning is that, to get ahead in today’s world students need more than a high school education.

It’s important to plan ahead when considering that next step. That’s why Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) is inviting students to a President’s Day Visit Day on Monday, February 17.

EICC includes Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges. The event begins at 9 a.m. at each campus. Participants will be given a tour of the college, learn about financial aid options, programs of study, housing options, clubs and activities, and have the opportunity to have all of their questions answered about the college.

More and more, students are making EICC their first choice when planning their future. EICC’s Associate in Arts degree easily transfers to the state universities and area private colleges, and it offers more than 50 career education programs leading directly into the world of work. All of the classes are close to home and tuition is roughly half that of the state universities.

The event is open to everyone; current high school students and their parents as well as individuals who have been out of school for a number of years and are considering starting college classes for the first time.

Pre-registration for the day is requested. For more information or to pre-register, individuals should call the college they plan to attend or go online to
