Computer Careers and EON Reality Open House

7/28/17

Our Information Technology (IT) and EON Virtual Reality programs are joining forces to present a special information session on August 5.

The session is from 1 - 4 p.m. and will be held in our virtual reality lab at 201 N. Harrison St., across from the Figge Art Museum. Faculty will be available to discuss their programs and attendees will have the chance to actually play with some of the equipment themselves.

Information Tech includes such computer career programs as:

Student in lab working on computer. Thanks to a recent statewide grant from the US Department of Labor, our program has been outfitted with some of the newest equipment available. We have also partnered with companies such as Cisco, Oracle and Microsoft to build job-specific certifications right into the curriculum.

Our EON Virtual Reality program is an exciting opportunity for area students to enter one of the newest careers available, Virtual and Augmented Reality. The college has partnered with EON Reality, a world leader in VR/AR development, to bring this academy to Davenport.

The 11-month program provides four months of intensive training followed by seven months of actual hands-on experience working on projects with EON’s clients from around the world.
