Computer, Business and Office Administration Info Session
EICC’s Clinton and Scott Community Colleges will be hosting April 24 information sessions to answer questions people have about starting in any of these careers. The sessions will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. at two locations:
Among the many career paths included in the event are Accounting, Business, Administrative and Office Support, Computer Networking, Computer Programming, Computer Hardware, and Virtual and Augmented Reality.
Students interested in a business-related program can get the training they need in the college’s Accounting Management, Administrative and Office Support, and Business Management programs.
All three programs can be completed in just two years and lead to an Associate in Applied Science Degree. In addition, shorter certificate options are also available in such areas as Entrepreneurship, Management Supervision, Marketing and Small Business Management.
The college’s computer training labs have been recently updated thanks to a statewide grant from the Department of Labor. In addition, the college has partnered with EON Reality, a world leader in virtual and augmented reality, to provide the only VR/AR training program anywhere in the area. The first class is currently underway with a second beginning this fall.
Students interested in fitting classes around a busy work or family schedule can take advantage of the college’s evening and online classes. The online courses are available thanks to a unique partnership of seven Iowa community colleges. That partnership, the Iowa Community College Online Consortium, makes it possible for students to earn their degree online.
Financial aid is available and EICC continues to deliver one of the most competitive tuition rate in the state of Iowa.
