CCC Sharar Foundation Scholarships

Student working on computerThe Clinton Community College Paul B. Sharar Foundation Scholarship application deadline is Tuesday, April 1, 2014.  Students considering attending Clinton Community College for the coming year can apply online or by using the application form available at CCC or online.

The Paul B. Sharar Foundation is named in honor of the first dean of Clinton Community College.  Dean Sharar  had a vision of education as the way people learn to live more useful lives for themselves and for their fellow citizens so they feel the joy of accomplishment above and beyond the common-place that might have been.  In 2013-14, more than $160,000 in scholarship funding was awarded to 160 CCC students through the Paul B. Sharar Foundation.  Generous donors contribute to the Sharar Foundation creating scholarships with a variety of criteria including academic promise, financial need, program of study and geographic area.

New for 2014-15 will be the Bernard Lehman Scholarships and the Eino & Adeline Lahti Memorial Scholarships.  Five full-tuition scholarships will be presented to concurrently enrolled high school students with an intent to complete their Associate’s degree at CCC who maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA.  Classes must be taken on campus.
