CCC and RSVP Host ENCORE April 13

Simply ThreeClinton Community College and RSVP will partner to offer ENCORE * PRESENTS… a SENIOR SpringTuneUP on Thursday, April 13 from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.  The event will be held at the Clinton Community College Technology Center (former Graphic Arts Technology Center), 1951 Manufacturing Drive, Clinton.
 
ENCORE = Enrichment Courses for Retirement.  This is an opportunity for retirees to come together for a day of entertainment and enrichment.   There are several top-notch, informative speakers scheduled throughout the day.  We hope participants are able to spend the day with us, get tuned up for a great spring season, sit back, enjoy yourselves and lunch is provided!  
 
Special musical guests will be Simply Three string trio.  Simply Three receives praise for their ability to impress listeners with a multitude of genres that span from Puccini and Gershwin to artists such as Adele, Coldplay, and Michael Jackson. By reshaping convention through this style of genre hopping, the trio continues to seek the true essence of classical crossover with original works as well as innovative arrangements that showcase their technical virtuosity and heartfelt musicality.
 
Other presentation topics will include Margo Hansen reading from her book Down On The Farm, floating down the river of Lumber Baron memories with Matt Parbs of the Sawmill Museum, an introspective look at decision making, lunch and much more!  This event is FREE.  Pre-register by calling 1-888-336-3907 or 563-244-7100 to register for course #179952.

  • “On the Other Side” Art Exhibit Opening Reception
    Thursday, March 23, 4:30 -  6 p.m.  
    CCC Library Art Gallery 
    The exhibit will be May 1 through June 30.The exhibit “On the Other Side” features personal works by area high school art instructors. The CCC Library is located at 1000 Lincoln Blvd., Clinton, Iowa.


  • CCC Alumni Association Trivia Night
    Friday, March 31 at 6:30 p.m. 
    Clinton Community College Auditorium, 1000 Lincoln Blvd.

    Clinton First place team wins $100, second place team wins $50.  This fundraiser supports the four CCC Alumni Association Scholarships for CCC students.


  • Paul B. Sharar Foundation Scholarship Donors/Recipients Reception
    Thursday, April 20 at 4 p.m.
    CCC Auditorium, 1000 Lincoln Blvd.
    This annual event celebrates the students earning scholarships for the coming academic year, and the donors making these generous contributions.  


  • CCC Student Art Exhibit Opening Reception
    Thursday, May 4 at 4:30 p.m.
    CCC, 1000 Lincoln Blvd.

    The exhibit will be on campus May 1 through June 30.
