SCC & WIU information session on Engineering Degrees
Scott Community College’s (SCC) Mathematics and Engineering Department is teaming up with Western Illinois University (WIU) to spread the word that students can earn their engineering degree without leaving the Quad Cities.
Students enrolled in the unique cooperative program between SCC, one of the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, and WIU complete their two-year Associate in Science Degree at SCC in Bettendorf and then transfer to WIU’s Quad Cities campus in Moline. Once at WIU, the students complete an additional two years of education resulting in a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Interested students are invited to learn more at a November 21 informational session to be held at SCC, 500 Belmont Road, Bettendorf. The session will be held from 4:45 – 5:30 p.m. in Room 1501.
Dr. William Pratt, Director of WIU’s School of Engineering, and Ryan Melbard of SCC’s Mathematics and Engineering Department will be available to explain the program and answer any questions about how it works.
