Students, faculty and staff invited to join EICCAlert

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges has announced a new mobile text alert system (EICCAlert) is now available for all students, faculty and staff at Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges.
The new system makes it possible for participants to receive emergency text messages directly to their cell phones. The system will be used for weather and other related closings as well as potential emergency situations.
E-mails have been sent out to all current students, faculty and staff with information about how to sign up. If you did not receive an e-mail, go to www.eicc.edu/eiccalert for more information about the service.
The text messaging is in addition to the many current ways the colleges currently use to notify students in these situations. Information will continue to be posted on college Facebook pages, Campus Cruiser, the EICC website and with local media.
