Cooking classes sweeten up May
Cupcakes, cookie bouquets and cool salads are just a few of the fun cooking classes offered by Eastern Iowa Community Colleges’ Continuing Education Department this May. The hands-on classes are just three hours in length and participants get to eat their creations.
Have Your Cupcake & Eat It Too includes fancy cupcakes and mini desserts, and a savory breakfast muffin as well. The class will be held May 2, 6:30 – 9:30p.m., at Bettendorf High School (Maplecrest Road Entrance), 3333 18th Street, Bettendorf. The cost is $19 and the course number is 108416. Mini Pies are created in a simple muffin tin. Participants will learn easy ways to make pleasing pies and tarts. Graduation Cookie Bouquet not only shows how to make this special gift, but by the end of the class participants will have a completed bouquet ready to take home and present for that graduating senior.
