CCC hosts final Visiting Artist Performance

Clinton Community College (CCC) is pleased to announce the final performance for the 2012 Visiting Artist season. This is the 38th year that CCC, one of the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, has offered these performances for the community as part of the Quad Cities Arts, a program that strives to make the program accessible to people of all walks of life, including students, seniors, and working people. Performances will be held in both Clinton and in Maquoketa throughout the year.
Rioult will be performing on January 25 at 7 p.m. in the Maquoketa High School Old Gymnasium.
RIOULT was founded in 1994 and fast became an established name in modern dance with a reputation for creating and presenting the sensual, articulate, and exquisitely musical works of Pascal Rioult. Born in to the American modern dance tradition, RIOULT is creating its own legacy of contemporary dance that speaks to the mind and heart.
Education and community outreach have been integral to RIOULT since its inception. RIOULT’s arts-in-education program Learning Through Movement offers an interactive approach that introduces students to the world of modern dance. It has impacted thousands of students and community members around the world.
Since the Visiting Artist Series began as an arts outreach program in 1973, the program has become one of the most ambitious of its kind in the country. The program presents the performances at no cost to the public. The performance begins at 7:00 p.m. and will be held at the CCC Maquoketa Center, 501 West Washington Street.
