EICCD online classes begin May 21

Eastern Iowa Community College District’s next session of short-term, online classes begins May 21. These classes cover a wide range of topics from Creating Web Pages to Accounting Fundamentals, Speed Spanish to Grant Writing, Medical Terminology to Excel, and much more.

One of the primary advantages of online courses is that students can complete any of the courses entirely from their home or office and at any time of the day or night. The courses provide students the opportunity to update skills, discover a new talent or chart a career path; all at his or her own pace and convenience.

For a complete list of classes is available online  To get started, students need only to have internet access, e-mail and the Internet Explorer or Firefox Web browser. Additional requirements, if any, will be listed with the course description.

New classes begin every month. All courses run for six weeks. Courses are project-oriented and include lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignments, discussion areas and supplementary links. Students can read lessons and ask questions of their instructor at the times most convenient to them.
