MCC students sent get well wishes to Josie Wathan and family

Four-year-old Josie Wathan, diagnosed with Rasmussen’s encephalitis, continues to recuperate after brain surgery in Cleveland, OH.

Wathan’s family has several ties to MCC and the college's Student Senate got busy in November to raise funds in support of her and her family during this difficult time. Her father, Jesse, is currently a student, and Carol and Ladd Steinmetz, Josie’s great grandparents, have both been recognized as distinguished alumni of the college. Many other family members have also been students at MCC.

Student senate members recently completed their fund drive at the college and will present a check in the amount of $470 to the family, just in time for the Holidays.
