MCC Agribusiness students win at state DEX-DECA Career Development Conference
Fifteen students in the Agribusiness Program at MCC placed in competition at the DEX-DECA Career Development conference held at the Des Moines Embassy Suites Hotel March 6 & 7. The competitions included students from Des Moines Area Community College, Kirkwood and Iowa Lakes Community Colleges.
Placings were as follows:
- Eric Franje from New Sharon received third place in Entrepreneurship
- Brock Stover from Ottumwa received third place in Sales Representative
- Ki Schmidt from Columbus Junction placed second in Sales Representative and Agribusiness Management Decision Making
- Josh Van Kooten from Pella placed first in Marketing Management and second in Agribusiness Management Decision Making
- Abe Ales from Muscatine placed first in Job Interview
- Zach Wagner from Davenport placed first in Agribusiness Management Decision Making
DEX-DECA is a college marketing, management and sales student organization that prepares students for careers in Marketing and Business.
Franje, Stover, and Van Kooten will be attending the International DEX-DECA Conference in Atlanta,GA, April 12 ā 15 along with Marshall McDonald, MCC advisor for the chapter.
