The students broke into career areas where each group was addressed by an MCC faculty member and the visiting students were given a chance to ask specific questions. Current MCC students then represented different areas of the college on a student panel. The visit concluded with campus tours organized by Tracey McGinn, MCC housing manager and facilitated by current MCC students.
“We are so fortunate to have companies like Bridgestone/Bandag in the community," Watson said. "Jesus Escobedo was happy to present his information which really shows the kind of support Muscatine provides its young people. We are very lucky to live in such a caring community.”
Similar programs are scheduled with other local schools in the near future The college doors are open any time, and the college staff are always ready and willing to help high school students learn about the opportunities available in the Muscatine area.
