MCC Choir and Variety Singers to present May 11 concert
The Muscatine Community College Music Department will present its spring concert on Sunday, May 11th, at 2 p.m. The concert will be held at Zion Lutheran Church located at 6th and Sycamore Streets in Muscatine.
The MCC Concert Choir, under the direction of Jan Phillips, will present five centuries of sacred music beginning with a 16th century Renaissance motet and including works by Handel, Mozart, Mendelssohn and Fauré.
The MCC Variety Singers will entertain the audience with choreographed selections including Turn the Beat Around, Pinball Wizard from the musical Tommy, and the Edgar Winter Group’s Free Ride.
Admission is $5 for Adults, $4 for seniors and students and free to MCC Partners in Excellence.
