College to host “Prevent Sexual Assault: ASK! ACT! INTERVENE!”
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Clinton Community College will host a Sexual Assault Prevention program on Wednesday, April 23 from 9 a.m. – Noon at the Graphic Arts Technology Center, 1951 Manufacturing Drive.
The theme for 2008 is “Prevent Sexual Assault: ASK! ACT! INTERVENE!” Presenters for the program include Sexual Assault Response Coordinator Linda Robertson of the Rock Island Arsenal and Jeffrey S. Lavallee, Legal Director of the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
The focus of this training is on educating our community in preventing sexual assaults. Attendees will learn the steps to prevent sexual assault, learn the protocol for sexual assaults that take place in the military, obtain increased knowledge of resources available, and obtain knowledge of the Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Program.
