April 1 is deadline for Sharar Foundation scholarships
The Paul B. Sharar Foundation for Clinton Community College will accept scholarship applications through April 1 for the 2008 - 2009 academic year.
In 2007 - 2008, more than $129,000 in scholarships was awarded to CCC students. Founded in 1966 and named for the first Dean of Clinton Community College, the Sharar Foundation mission is to provide monetary and advisory support for the students, staff and programs of Clinton Community College.
A committee made up of Clinton Community College staff and faculty, and Sharar Foundation board members reviews the applications and awards the scholarships based on donor guidelines. Scholarships may be awarded for academic achievement, program of study, geographic area, academic promise, athletics, or community service. Donations for scholarships are taken throughout the year.
