Mechatronics program announces new scholarship opportunities
The Paul B. Sharar Foundation for Clinton Community College is pleased to announce two scholarships for the Mechatronics program. Lyondell and the Employers Council of Iowa have both established scholarships in the career program that combines mechanical, electrical, process controls, robotics and computer-aided design.
Mechatronics was established through a State of Iowa ACE grant, with local support from area industries. Those industries include ADM, Collis, Inc., Custom-Pak, Lyondell, Guardian Industries, Lamson & Sessions and Nestle-Purina PetCare Company.
“We are very pleased with the partnerships that we share with these companies. It is our desire to assist in training employees in these high demand technology skills," said Dean of the College Ron Serpliss. "These new scholarships will assist students in preparing for the emerging workforce.”
The deadline for application for the two scholarships is May 15. Those wishing to apply must complete a scholarship form available at the Paul B. Sharar Foundation. For more information contact Ann Eisenman, Foundation Director, 563-244-7040.
