Winners are "all in" for SNAP Poker Tournament
The Third Annual Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament sponsored by the Clinton Community College Student Networkers and Programmers Club (SNAP) was held on March 24th in the Clinton Community College Auditorium.
Seventeen poker faced individuals braved the early morning hours to sign-in and began the first round of No-Limit Poker. After four hours of challenging raising and folding sprinkled with a few all-ins, the field was whittled down to the final six individuals.
Charles Harlan from Silvis was the first to leave the final table and finished the day in sixth place. Shortly thereafter, Terry Voss of Clinton, last year's second place finisher, fell in fifth place followed by Andrew Leppert of Bettendorf. Tom Thiessen of Clinton finished third, leaving Don Hall of Fulton and Justin Long of Clinton to do heads-up battle. One hand later, Justin captured all of the chips and was declared the winner.
The proceeds benefit the CCC SNAP Club. The club uses the funds to attend out-of-class events and training as well as to fund lab equipment to enhance their learning experiences at CCC.
