Clinton's Technology Center gets a new name
The Eastern Iowa Community College District Board of Trustees has approved renaming the Clinton Community College Graphic Arts Technology Center to the CCC Technology Center.
At the meeting held on Monday, April 21, the board unanimously approved the renaming of the facility located at 1951 Manufacturing Drive, Clinton. The board felt the name would better reflect the programs housed at that location. The name change will take effect immediately.
The CCC Technology Center houses the Graphic Arts, Mechatronics and Drafting/Computer Aided Design programs. The Business & Industry Center is also located at that location.
"The Graphic Arts Center has served our college and our community well over the last 13 years," said Clinton Community College President Dr. Karen Vickers. "We believed that due to the increased programming of the center and the variety of uses of the building that the new name - the CCC Technology Center - would be more descriptive for the building. We are pleased that our Board of Trustees agreed with our recommendation."
