Muscatine Community College set to host annual Art of Gardening day
A well-planned and cared-for garden is a thing of beauty, a true work of art. That’s the underlying belief of Muscatine Community College’s annual Art of Gardening day-long series of classes.

The event will be held in the college’s Strahan Hall on March 10 from
9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The day consists of a series of concurrent sessions, with attendees allowed to choose their favorite session in advance.
The day’s activities also include a lunchtime general session with Dr. Jim Pease, Iowa State University Extension Wildlife Specialist. Dr. Pease will speak on Gardening With Wildlife: Plant Them Feet Down. Attendees will learn how to manage the damage that animals can sometimes cause to their gardens and landscaping and are encouraged to ask about their personal wildlife damage dilemma.
The day-long event is planned in cooperation with the Iowa State University Extension department.
