Access 2003 - Level 1
Prerequisite: Windows Level 1 or equivalent knowledge. Most organizations maintain and manage large amounts of information. One of the most efficient and powerful information management computer applications is the relational database. Information can be stored, linked, and managed using a single relational database application and its associated tools. In this course, you will learn to manage the data in a database, examine existing table relationships, query the database, design simple forms and create and modify Access reports. To gain a good basic working knowledge of Access, we recommend that you take both Access 2003 Levels 1 and 2.

Access 2003 - Level 2
Prerequisite: Access 2003 Level 1. As you begin this course, you should have the basic skills you need to work with Access databases. This includes working with Access tables, relationships, queries, forms, and reports. But thus far you have been focusing on essential database user skills only. In this course you will consider how to design and create a new Access database, how to customize database components, and how to share Access data with other applications.

Access 2003 - Level 3
Prerequisite: Access 2003 Level 2. Your training in and use of Access has provided you with a solid foundation in the basic and intermediate skills for working Access. You're now ready to extend your knowledge into some of the more specialized and advanced capabilities. In this course you will learn to: restructure an existing set of data to improve the design of a database, use a variety of techniques to summarize and present data with queries, create and revise basic Access macros, create macros that improve data entry efficiency and integrity, improve the effectiveness of data entry in forms, improve the effectiveness of data displayed in reports, maintain an Access database by using various utility tools.

Access 2003 - VBA
Prerequisite: Access 2003 Level 3. The focus for this class is on Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) as used in forms and reports. You will learn to change properties on the form in response to events (e.g., after update, before insert, on current). You will learn to expand query by form capabilities by including the SQL in the VBA Code, reducing the number of similar reports/queries in your database. Case statements and if ...then...else statements are also included. Bring specific problems to class for discussion.
