CO-REQUISITE COURSES FOR THE NURSING PROGRAM
Although the EICCD Nursing Program is a two-year program, many students prefer to follow a three-year plan. The following courses must be taken with Nursing (NU) courses or prior to entering the Nursing Program. These courses must be completed in sequence in order to progress through the nursing program most efficiently. A suggested course load is as follows:

First Semester     Second Semester     Third Semester
BI:181     BI:182SO:100
EN:105     PY:115
PY:105     BI:146

This is only a recommendation for coursework that may (but does not have to) be completed before the student enters Nursing Fundamentals. It should be noted that it is NOT recommended that NU:118 & 119 (Pharmacology) be taken before NU:121 & 122 (Nursing Fundamentals). Students who take NU:118 & 119 prior to Nursing Fundamentals must be able to perform all tasks and skills learned during these courses at the same level of functioning as all other students when they are enrolled in the Nursing Fundamentals course.
