MEDICATION AIDE (50 Hours)
FEE: $200 *subject to change
Purpose: This 50-hour course consists of 40 classroom hours and a minimum of 10 clinical hours. The course will train Certified Nurse Aides to safely administer nonparenteral medications in nursing facilities and related areas. The emphasis is on safe administration and students are provided theory and practice to achieve this.
The student must be drug free and working in a nursing, residential or related type of facility for at least 6 months and must be recommended by the employing facility administrator. The clinical experiences are scheduled in the facility recommending the Nurse Aide.
REHABILITATION AIDE (65 Hours)
FEE: $275 *subject to change
This course is designed to train Certified Nurse Aides who are working as Certified Nurse Aides, with the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively provide rehabilitative/restorative therapies under the supervision of a physical therapist or occupational therapist. The student should be employed for at least 6 months before starting course.
