Experience:
Currently, I am the HSET Program Facilitator and also have
responsibilities for safety for the Eastern Iowa Community College
District. My professional experience consists of being a Project
Manager of environmental projects and safety; Adjunct Faculty of
Earth Science at McHenry County Community College; General
Superintendent for constructing large distribution buildings;
Research Assistant (while earning MS); Geologist, Illinois
Department of Transportation; and a former Captain in the United
States Army Engineer Corps.
Education:
B.A. in Geology from the University of Colorado
M.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences from the
University of Illinois
Licensed Professional Geologist in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Member of Iowa Distance Learning Association; American Society of
Safety Engineers; National Association of Geoscientist
Teachers.
Interests:
My main interest is the student who is enrolled in higher
education, regardless of the major they have chosen or the
institution they have chosen. Other interests include reading,
biking, walking, and gardening (hopefully all toward the
sustainability of our one and only planet).
