Grading and Transcript Designation
College grading and transcript designations conform to the Common Master List of Grade Symbols and Definitions for Merged Area Schools, as recommended by the Iowa Department of Education.
Marking System
The EICCD marking system is as follows as it applies to distance learning courses:
| A | excellent performance |
| B | above average performance |
| C | average performance |
| D | below average performance |
| F | failure, no credit granted or grade points awarded, but hours attempted are figured into grade point average |
| I | incomplete |
| O | grade requital |
| T | credit granted by examination (test out) |
| W | official withdrawal from a course |
