When you think of jobs in education it's only natural that you
first think of the teacher, standing in front of the classroom,
helping young people learn and, hopefully, opening whole new worlds
to them. But there are many other careers in education-related
fields such as child care, sign language and library
assistance.
If your dream for the future is to become a teacher, whether
it's in at the elementary level, high school or even college, we
can get you there. Students majoring in
education earn their Associate in Arts Degree and
then transfer their credits to a four-year college or university
where they complete their Bachelor's Degree and can begin teaching
at the kindergarten through 12th grade level. The classes
you take with us are the same ones you will take at the
four-year institution and, best of all, you'll save hundreds of
dollars because our tuition is much lower than the private colleges
and state universities.
Students interested in a position in child
care might be surprised to learn that ongoing
regulatory changes are requiring more and more education for the
field. Our Child Care program meets all of the
requirements you will need to begin working in this field and
provides you the opportunity for hands-on training in a child care
facility.
Working as a sign language interpreter
can be one of the most rewarding careers a person can enter. Many
interpreters work as private contractors, helping individuals who
cannot hear with their ears to hear with their eyes through the
interpreters sign language.
