Mechanical Design, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Pro-Engineer (Pro-E) continue to be popular career options in today’s marketplace. Now that training is available throughout our district at Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges.

Our Associate in Applied Science degree program in Mechanical Design Technology allows you to tailor your program with a variety of course options including:

• Pro-E / Solidworks Modeling Certificate
• CAD / Pro-E Engineer Certificate
• CAD / Pro-E Diploma
• CAD / Pro E – Associate in Applied Science Degree

All four options include the training required by industry and delivered in a practical, hands-on method that applies directly to the world of work. Each class is just eight weeks in length meaning you quickly move from one class to the next.

Instructors in the program are taking advantage of one of the latest video training systems available, Media Site. Media Site allows students to access lectures via the internet at the location nearest to them, even if that’s their own home.

Here’s how it works:

• Students view the lectures, created by our own instructors, via the internet.
• They then go to our Blong Technology Center, Clinton Community College’s Technology Center or Muscatine Community College to complete their lab work.
• Instructors are available on each campus on a set schedule to help you with your assignments.
