It’s
been an exciting time for us as our Computer Aided Design (CAD) and
Pro-Engineer (Pro-E) program
has experienced new growth. That’s largely due to a new delivery system
that allows students to take classes on their own time schedule.
Instructors
in the program have undertaken the tremendous task of placing all of
their lecture
sessions online. That means students can listen to the lectures whenever
they want… or even repeat parts of lectures to make sure they
understand the content.
Students
then come into the college to do their actual hands-on work. Labs are
available
at all three of our colleges, Clinton, Muscatine and Scott. The
instructors have scheduled times that they are at the colleges each week
to answer questions and work with students one-on-one.
Scheduling classes and lab time around busy work and family schedules couldn’t be easier!
Our Associate in Applied Science degree program in Mechanical
Design Technology allows students to tailor their program with a variety of course options including:
- Pro-E / Solidworks Modeling Certificate
- CAD / Pro-E Engineer Certificate
- CAD / Pro-E Diploma
- CAD / Pro E – Associate in Applied Science Degree
All
four options include the training required by industry and delivered in
a practical,
hands-on method that applies directly to the world of work. Each class
is just eight weeks in length meaning you quickly move from one class to
the next.
