Twenty six MCC Agribusiness & Technology students recently invaded Springfield, IL
Attending the National Postsecondary Agricultural Students Organization (PAS) conference. In addition to the individual events MCC had two Crop Specialist teams and one Floriculture Specialist team.
Top honors in Employment Interview were National Winners:
- Brandon White of West Burlington in Agribusiness Administration and Management
- Jordan Lyon of Conesville in Fruit and Vegetable Production
- Jayln Havill of New Liberty in Fertilizer and Ag Chemicals.

- Janine Hester of Bettendorf in Floriculture.

- Peter Luvafu of Kenya in Animal Systems - Non Ruminant
- Stacey Tjaden of Wyoming, IA in Plant Systems
- Placing Second in Career Planning:

- Jean Paul Ambeazieh of Cameroon in Animal Systems - Non Ruminant
- Irene Jacobs of Muscatine, IA in Horticulture, Environmental & Natural Resource Systems.
Career Planning is a first year student award area designed to help students develop a career plan that includes many activities documented in a 14 page application.

- Micah Hills of Columbus Jct., IA in Retail Agribusiness Systems.

- Placing third in this event:
- Brittany Mincks of Nichols, IA in Agribusiness Management & Marketing Systems
- Josh Oster of Lone Tree in Retail Agribusiness Systems.
Career Progress is a second and third year student activity designed to test participants on management decision making.
Two Crop Specialist teams represented MCC. The team of Shea Bieri and Randy Browning placed 4th with Bieri finishing 6th and Browning finishing 13th as individuals. Jayln Havill and Micah Hills finished 12th as a team and 25th and 24th respectively as individuals.
The Ornamental Horticulture - Floriculture team of Janine Hester and Irene Jacobs finished 6th as a team with Hester taking 6th place and Jacobs 13th place as individuals.
